Why is it that some of us fear the most loved day of the year? Is it because we start to see decorations in stores and immediately feel sad thinking that no one loves us? Does it bring back certain memories of our past relationships or certain people we have feelings towards?
For me, Valentine's Day brings on a ton of emotions when I start to see red & pink hearts everywhere after Christmas. It brings back good and bad memories, but lately more than ever I have been feeling more "excited" about the holiday!
This year, I'm steering the direction of Valentine's Day a little bit differently & "punching" it in the face by overcoming the feared anticipation in advance.
It is not just about your significant other on February 14th, but about all the people you love and those who love you. Everyone should feel loved on Valentine's Day, no matter what.
So that is why I decided to get a head start on my Galentine's Day Collection as early as January 1st! It's time to start getting excited about February 14th instead of dreading the feared holiday! Who's with me?!

The beauty of my day job is walking by Target's dollarspot section every morning before heading over to the pharmacy. This year the Valentine's decor caught my eye, especially the glitter!
They came in mini glass tubes with a cork stopper and a pretty string cord tied around the neck of the bottle... For only a buck! CUTE right?!
Well, I couldn't resist the different colors and confetti pieces, and this is what inspired me to start making professional Galentine's Day cards!

After several trips between Michaels and Target throughout the first week in January, I finally had my color scheme in mind; light purple, gold, silver, & of course, pink.
The different glitters I experimented with formed a scrumptious mix of jeweled tones that I accumulated and saved as a limited edition batch, called "Cupid Dust" (No, not drugs kids, just glitter!).
Finding joy in making crafts and designing cards was the way I was able to take my mind off of certain guys who have mistreated me in the past. I know that I deserve so much better than that, and so I have been told by multiple friends and family members.
Having that sense of accomplishment, that I no longer get feelings of anxiety and pain when I see decorations for the holiday (but rather get excited for it), assures me that I have truly conquered it!
Crafting is becoming such a popular hobby now, and I encourage each & every one of you to find something you're passionate about that shines a new light.
XO Hope
